I personally like the Super Silver Haze as my Sativa. Interested in hearing what you guys like when it comes to strains.

My fav. sativa is a local legend here in TX, and it's called Shoreline. Not very many people get it outside of TX, if you do, you are damn lucky. It's only grown by a man and his son near the coast, and another relative in Austin. Very very skunky, with a hint of gasoline.....quite peculiar. XD ...If I had to go with a more well known strain, I'd have to agree with you on the SSH!!! Love that stuff!

For night time, I like a strong and stoney indica, like some well grown OG Kush. Can't go wrong with some good kush. Mmmmm, I'm gonna go rip a nice one right now. :D

Shoreline sounds a little like the Skywalker we have out here in SoCal.

YES, it's a lot like Skywalker. I managed to get my hands on some of that when I lived in Colorado. Shoreline delivers much more of an uppity cerebral high. Great for when I need to write music or get creative. Shoreline tho, has a much more distinct smell. The gas smell just hits you in the face, but in a good way of course! It's pretty unique in my eyes....or should I say nose......i dont even know what is going on anymore!!!! :eek: Hopefully I can get some and get a good pic and upload a review of it soon. XMAS TIME IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!! O' HAPPY BUDZ!!!

i prefer a real heavy buzz..theres nothin better than a strong indica(people that smoked there kush know what im takin bout)..my favorite indica strain would be blackberry kush..and sativa would be jack herrer :p:p

OG Kush - also my first purchase.

Other good ones are Jack Herer and Green Crack.

It's so hard to choose just one. Probably easier if split into Sativa/Indica.

I will say that OG or LA Confidential would be on the top of the list for sure. I love the high from both LA and a good OG Kush. Tough to choose just one though!

I'm w/you Herb ... very hard to choose one as for me, it seems like I've been getting something different every time I fill my prescription.

But, in terms of repeat fills as of now I gotta say Swiss Cheese (H-S) (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/swiss-cheese-1-apothecary-420-190.html) and ATF (S) (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/alaskan-thunder-fuck-apothecary-420-427.html) are up there for me for the Sativa dominant strains. As for Indicas, my review of Asteroid (I) (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/asteroid-ie420patient-1805.html) has to be the tops for me but, this is not something you get everyday so the verdict is still out there for me in regard to a consistently available indo strain.

I have both parents on teh shelf at NUGGETRY SD but have yet to come across that hybrid.

I usually go for a strong indica, but I can never turn down some good old Trainwreck from the Emerald Triangle. This is one sativa that always leaves me "Couch Locked"

Well I love OG and purple, but you can't go wrong with somewhite widow! Another good strain is called Blueberry something, can't remember it rightnow.. Smokin some orange kush ATM, pretty good stuff hehe!

I don't really have favorite strains, but I have favorite experiences.

1) I smoked an eighth of Grand Daddy Purps x Original Kush over three days with a friend... That shit put me in another dimension.

2) I've smoked Fruity Pebbles on a couple of occasions, bought an eighth of it once. That was some stoney, giggly nug for which I'd kill to have again. Watched Stepbrothers on it, best decision ever.

3) Then there's the Maui Wowee that I reviewed for MR. That's about as firey as my bud's ever been, and while I tend towards indicas, that sativa topped my list after the very first jay.

4) Blueberry. Can't forget the organic outdoor Blueberry that a friend got through a NORML connect in California. I can't remember anything I did when I smoked that shit, and for a good god damn reason.

Hell yeah. Grand Daddy Kush, Fruity Pebbles, Maui Wowee and Blueberry. I think that's a good 'Top 4'.

Some of the stuff I've gotten recently has been super flame. I got some Purple Jack (Grand daddy purp x Jack Herer) which was out of this world stinky and the smoke tasted like it smelled. I also had some Blue Dream recently from Cali, which was as dank of an indica as I've ever seen.

I leave for amsterdam in less than 3 days! so I have a feeling (if i remember) that my strain of choice will be very different soon, but my cousin brought me some of his friends little project in Cali...

lets just say at least from an english perspective it BLEW MY MINDDD

The buds were really dense and crunchy and the taste was almost like a blended fruit salad it was aamzing! The Trichomes covered the weed so much it pretty much looked silvery white!

My favorite strain would probably have to be a land race sativa from Africa that should really get more love than what it does. Durban Poison is a strain that is very near and dear to my heart. I use to grow this a few years back and really learned to appreciate its wonderfully uplifting high. A really energetic high that puts a big shit eating grin on your face. This stuff does wonders for depression and really makes you want to get up and enjoy life.

hey i just joined the site recently so this is my first post and this looked like a good place to start. bein from the bay (NorCal) i love my purps but i dont think i can pick an all time favorite.

top five in no particular order would probably be

green crack: ive had this strain several times but the most recent time i got it from a private dealer and this stuff was grown perfectly, after two bowls and a blunt i was couchlocked for at least three hours ( i honestly cant remember how long)

berry kush: i dont know if its a big strain because i havent heard of it other than from the dealer i bought it from so im not sure about its genetics but it did remind me a lot of blackberry kush which made me think that was one of the parents

blue dream: what socrates said, just a super dank indica, the farm is only about 30 minutes away from where i live too so im proud to say i was one of the first to get that killer bud, only con was it was a bit on the expensive side, definitely worth it though

midnight purple: private dealer, this was some of the deepest dark purple ive seen, i have no idea the parents but they must have been killer cause this stuff was so dark it was almost black, oh ya killer indica buzz too

trinity snow cap: i got an 1/4 of this last summer that came from alaska, not top 5 because of the quality of it(although it was nice and frosty) but its the resin, now i dont usually like resin just left over in the piece from the bud but this was the most incredible shit ever, tasted like a barbeque steak which does give you gnarly munchies probably from both the weed and the steak taste

Jack Herer/SSH: have to put a sativa to round it out and i couldnt choose which one, thats the only complaint i have about norcal is not enough sativa for me. i love my indicas but its nice to have some variety and both of these have provided great variety for me

i also cant wait to get some super lemon haze, got my friend who visited the cup this year to mail me back some of the winner, Super stoked for that

Hey Mr. Wiggles, have you been to the dispensary by Hilltop Mall in Richmond? They have the best purple in the Bay, for good prices too. I got some Master Purp from there that got me outrageously high. Definitely recommend both the strain and the club. The club's name is GDP Collective.

Anyway, my favorite strain overall is Super Silver Haze, and Master Purple is my favorite indica.

1. big buddha cheese - there's one specific pheno that is very dark green/blue & superdense nugs , love the buzz.

2. amnesia haze - the one that smells like candy... daaank

3. LA confidential - very hard to grow but if grown correctly this can be so tasty, so sweet that it makes my mouth water right now..:p

it was very hard to choose, there's so much yumminess out there!

Some herb that I have never smoked in my life but sure as hell on the wishlist
- any kush (yea I know :()
- anything blue / fruity / musky / exotic :D

hmmmmm, i've literally read this thread a hundred times and still can't decide what are my favorites, so after lots of scribbling on bits of paper, as well as a heavy amount of smoking, i have come up with this temporary list (subject to change):
1) True Purple Haze. I have only ever had this once, but suffice it to say that this stuff was so strong I physically could not finish a joint. After about two puffs that was lights out, couchlock, munchies, super head high, super body high, i mean this was some serious medical grade marijuana.
2) Purple Kush. Tasted weed i have ever had. the purple haze just tasted like hashy fire with a slight earthy taste, but the purple kush was fruity, kushy, and just plain delicious! also very strong.
3) Silver Sour Diesel. Strong, musky, pungent, i smoked this and felt like my eyes were red as the devils tail. seriously, this stuff had me high as a kite for hours. and it tasted like a big ol spoonful of diesel gasoline and rancid fruit. Yummy!
4) AK47. just love those old school strains. AK is just about my favorite sativa dominant hybrid. smoked it on cool summer mornings and went for a nice long day of fishing. smoked it out on the boat and felt energized all day. the high from this felt like it amplified the brightness of the sun and my senses. really cool shit.
and lastly,
5) this is where it gets confusing: indica dominant OG Kush, Jack Berry (jack herer x hash berry), hash berry, blueberry haze, chemdog diesel, mazar skunk. honestly, i can't definitively say that i like any of these strains better than any other, they were all that bomb.

LEAST FAVORITE STRAIN: mexican or jamaican SCHWAG. I HATE SCHWAG, SCHWAG IS NOT WEED, SCHWAG IS SCHWAG. although it does make a nice cooking medium, put a quarter pound of schwag into a brownie and i guarantee you you will not be able to tell the difference between up and down, left or right. everything has its purpose i suppose.

I'm big on any strong indica so the best strain I've ever had is purple OG kush. I picked up some from my normal guy because he ran out of what I originally wanted so I got two oz. for cheap, and I fell in love.

Second favorite is Trainwreck which is near impossible to get around here.

Third favorite is the obligatory Durban Poison.

ONE OF MY VERY MOST FAVORITE STRAINS EVER IS GOLDEN GOAT, IT IS A THREE WAY SATIVA STRAIN WHICH IS ALMOST ALWAYS AROUND BOULDER SOMEWHERE. THE smell IS SO INTENSELY CITRUS (LIME IN PARTICULAR) that it is almost akin to sour diesel, but much sweeter. the taste is to die for, like a cross between a lime dreamcicle and pure jet fuel. you'll need the fuel cause the high is like blasting off in a space ship and cruises through many beautiful dimensions for a good 2-3 hours. no comedown ,hangover or any other such unplesantries involved.the goat is pretty much good fer anything that ails ya!! I believe the genetics are Romulan x Island Sweet Skunk x Hawaiin Sativa. adds up for a very uppy highly cerebral high :eek:

I'm "new" at smoking, and BD is one that I can handle. Upbeat, but pyschedelic, with minimal crash & burn. Unlike Chemdog, which knocks me out and leaves a nasty hangover.

I also picked up some crazy Purple Kush flowers that have a very "ELECTRIC PURPLE HIGH" which sticks to the bones for a good two to three hours. To me it was very trippy and sureal. It has a very strong eathy floral smell almost like opium or jasmine flowers. Pefectly cured and trimmed this bud is a true work of the masters of american MMJ creation. Oh by the way it tastes very "purply floral yummyness!!!:p
