Came up on a MANGO SEED!!

came from a batch a buddie of mind picked up from the dis. .. All i remember from the discovery of this seed was the homie was surprised lol and it was b-day bbq so he gave it to me.
NOW i want to plant this ASAP what should i do?!!

should i wait?
should i get more "deeper"411 on the seed? (if possible)
if its an indoor harvest can i make it an out door? (vica versa)

I found a seed in a batch of blueberry. Germd it in a moist paper towel and planted the seedling in soil. Mine was a female but really its like Wheezer said in another post. Bagseed is a crap shoot. You're either going to get something as good as the mom, better or worse. But usually if the mom is good the baby should be decent. I know some strains dont do too well outdoors because of heat and such I can't say if mango is indoor only though I'm sure somone on the boards will help you! But for now I'd label it, save it. Organize a grow and plant the seed before its too late!

You should send it to me! I've been lookin' for a good Mango plant! It's too late to plant and harvest it outside this year, but you can grow an outside strain inside. If you don't have any lights to flower it with, you should wait till next spring.

outside space and lighting is no problem, its the indoor that ide have to accumulate funds to grow indoor ....even if its a "BAGSEED" logically it would have to be a good grow if it made it to a dis.?! or that logic wouldnt apply to this...

It's a little lighter colored than you want it to be, but that doesn't mean it won't grow. Is it good and hard, and not green at all?

yaaaaa! now you have to grow it out. Do you have a way to finish it indoors? It's going to take 6-8 weeks to find out the sex on it, and by then it's going to be cold outside. What's your plan?

yeah Task now that you've popped it you might as well grow it out or give the baby to someone that has the means too. But honestly what I would do is veg it indoors with some cheap lights either l.e.d's or fluorescent lights and really try to save for a light fixture that will flower this sucker while its in its veg state. But I wouldn't invest in too much until you determine sex. but that doesn't mean you can't save up and organize a small grow for the case that it is a female. One thing I can tell you from my own experience is it's never good to germ a seed unless its the right season for outdoor OR if you're doing indoor to wait until you have organized a grow because once it starts it starts and letting a good baby go to waste is never fun! if there is LIFE still there even though i popped it <-- stupid mistake---> it wasnt an ez pop so it was all my fault, i have the room inside and can maybe scroung up lighting, but at this point is Mr. wheezer wants it give me a holler .... im so mad at myself right now
