Never has the need for a 3rd party been more glaring.

I've got the same problem locally. My county supervisor is a criminal. The person running against me will cost me $. So...vote for criminal, or union-lackey? Nice "choice." Looks like Prop 19 is leading in the polls though.

She's scary, and Brown's a lying nutjob (however, he at least has a personality). I'll vote for whomever slashes public pensions the most and whomever turns on the water to SoCal. Re-freaking-diculous that we're living in a manmade dustbowl so that a fish no one has ever seen can live. I'm looking out my windows at dead avocado groves (not to mention my dead landscaping). But the Snail Darter lives!

lol if you watched any of the debate, the 1st topic was pensions. brown was hilarious about it saying he'd be 80 at the end if he were elected so even more reason to vote for him. that actually may have been the best line in the debate from either side

Well yesterday's dog & pony show is exactly why people hate politics. Now, I'm no Whitman fan, but this current Mexican maid BS has me leaning towards voting for her. Woman works for her for *9 years*, at $23/hr, then tearfully- reads from a script- about how she was "financially abused/etc" (because, when you're really REALLY upset, you have to write it down). Total slimebag bs mud-slinging.

oh i'm not denying the mudslinging. it's gonna get nasty. that said, theres no doubt that whitman knew she was illegal

Even if that's true, it's still bs. But it's my understanding that, when they found out she was illegal, they fired her.

actually 1 year in they husband got a letter from social security saying that the ss # and the persons name don't match. whitmans husband wrote on the social security letter to the maid "nikki, can you please check this out?" thats after 1 year. i find it convenient she was fired right before whitman announced her candidacy as opposed to the minute she found out her house keeper was illegal. which was 8 years ago. her husband isn't denying this.

That's not the whole story and you know it. *I* find it convienent that the "poor, abused" woman is on tv a week before the ballots get mailed. And with Gloria Allred involved, you *know* it's political BS.

True that. I just think this is pretty dispicable. In fact, I see one of two things happening: 1) she's 100% guilty/lying, and she's done. 2) She's 100% innocent (she did say she'd take a lie detector), and the people will see it for the cheap political trick it is. Either way, this is now *the issue* that will decide the race. Forget the fact that CA is broke/etc, *this* is now the top issue.

If she gets elected I'm either moving or getting arrested for trying to Snipe her off.
