Best looking Bud?

Hey all, I was just thinking of a little contest we could have with each other. While looking at the new reviews, I thought, why not see who can find the best looking bud that's been reviewed thus far.

So, to start off the competition, I thought it'd be unfair to compare purple buds with green buds, etc, we should post one of each, one purple and one green bud.

My opinion on the best looking green bud, is Amnesia Lemon (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/amnesia-lemon-amnesia-732.html). It's the most frosted bud I've seen, and it looks almost like it's neon.

My opinion on the best looking purple bud, is a tie between Velvet Kush (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/velvet-kush-reseda-discount-caregivers-714.html) and Chunkle (http://www.marijuanareviews.com/nuggetry-sd-top-dispensary-1824.html) (scroll down to the bud picture).

Lets see if anyone can come up with some better finds. :D

Purple Frankenstein looks pretty cool though too, but not as good as Velvet Kush I think. Velvet Kush has the same coating of trich's as Amnesia, where it looks white almost, which is why I think Velvet Kush is soooo sick.

I have to disagree :D That C99 looks unbelievable to me.
and the Ninja Turtle (to me) looks like the Frostiest bud on MR hands down.


and again (to me) the LOOKS, what were basing this on right?, When I look at both the Purple Madness and Purple Frankenstein side by side, The Purple Madness just looks ridiculous.

I enjoy the photos!

In our accounts we have a photo section. From now on out ... every time I get a "refill," I and going to take a few photographs to keep somewhat of a medicine dairy of all the stuff I get. This is aside from actual reviews with take a long time for me. So if able to, take a photo of your freshly purchased meds and put in your photo album.

The Blackberry Kush that Amanda had was beautiful. Also, the Organic Jack Herer - those are some incredible looking nugs.

I don't like the micro shots personally, I think macro shots of the entire bud is a much better representation of the look. Any up close shot of bud will look cool, since its all just a field of thc. You can't get the "feel" of the frostiness, if you know what I mean.

oh and i agree macro onlys are horrible as you could have a tiny little nugglet and make it look like you got the craziest bag ever. i like to see the growth, composition and consistency of the rest of the bud as well to truly judge a strain.

but macros are also important as they can see more than our eyes can without a magnification device. its great to ssee trich development.

and also, it seems as if people try to kiss some ... here lol. most of vaporizers reviews are lacking diversity in the photographs and depth in the review which IMO are the most important parts of a review. a few people have actually written some solid reviews with some insight and actually valuable information. i'm not hating of course... i think chubbs and mrs chubbs are the best reviewers haha... but seriously they prob offer the most perspective in their reviews and thats not kissing anyone's .... hahah

and yeah, vape's pics are nice... show what i wanna see, i did mention macros are great for seeing development up close. so i am pro macros and my opinion was based off reviews with both... vape's got some reviews showing both which i like to see both perspectives...

hahah, your nuts man. macro is a functin on a camera, how close you chose to put it is up to you and that's what determines whether it is macro or micro. you use the same setting, just either take a 12mp shot of the whole bud, zoom in on where you want or a 12mp shot of a smaller section of the bud, still using macro mode...

so, if you are confused about the terminology we are using, it is understandable. either way, we use macro mode to get up close, how you present your shot is entirely up to you. and by the way, micro photography refers to something similar to a microscopic shot, which vape's shot are not that close. borderline, but not microscopic at all. a mico shot is gonna be of like two or three calyxes.

I understand that you can have different lenses and settings on cameras that will fit better picture ideas better (lenses for a picture of the trichromes up close would be different than a lense for a picture of a mountain, lets say), correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not very photo-savvy). When I mean micro shots, I think it refers to how much of the bud you see regularly (very infrequently can a human see a single trichrome with such clarity, impossible I'd say). Whereas a macro shot would be what we as humans would normally see or perceive of something, like the entire nug, and not just a small portion of trichromes on the nug.

Another thing I think is strange in terms of the photography of what you refer to as a macro shot, but up close, is that none of the trichromes in alot of the pictures are of an amber hue, they all seem pretty clear for the most part (some are slightly foggy, but not many).

hahah, well, i was just simplifying what you said. it's more or less symantics at this point.

simply people usually refer to macros just as a shot taken with the macro setting on a camera. which allows it to attain focus much closer than it's intender focal range.

also, what bud are you referring to exactly? i assume its just a matter of the strains being chosen.

I got some bud here that looks like that, 60/8th, 110/Quad, 400 os, kid calls it Strawberry Cough. Could be trimmed better, but it's frosty as hell and stinks like the Dickens.

yeah I could have trimmed mine better also. Its soo hard to keep trimming when you know those tiny little leaves have sooo much crystal on them, and it is for my personal medical use and not for sale so it doesn't have to be that perfect.


Here is the Lavender that grew right along side the Purple Kush this year you can see that I didn't trim them as much as I did the Purple kush. But it is so damn stony.
