Good day to all my fellow tokers. I live in fear that one day my exhaust fan will pack up or the fuse will blow and my light will bake my plants to a crisp. Does anybody know of a product that would cut my light out in case this ever happens. I have checked around for thermal cut out switches and such but can't find anything. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

you can't plug the light and the fan into the same timer??

I'm talking about if the fan became faulty and stopped working half way through my light cycle. The light would still continue to work regardless of them being plugged in to the same timer as the fan or not. After the timer the fan and light would split into separate circuits (both have there own plugs, fuses, cables etc). Therefore either can become faulty independently.

I think I'd rather let my plants go through an especially hot day rather than a day with out adequate lighting.

Thanks H1JACK3R. I'm quite new to growing and don't know the consequences of a day in the extreme heat. In between this grow and the next i'll probably do a test run with the light on and no fan to see how hot it gets. Or maybe I should chill out and stop thinking about it.
